Questions about Arkive.
The passport, the data behind it and how to get started.
The basics.
What is a Digital Product Passport?
A Digital Product Passport is a digital record for a physical product. It connects the product to information about what it is, what it is made of, where it comes from and how to use, repair and recycle it.
Is a passport just a QR code?
No. The QR code opens the record. The hard part is keeping product, material, supplier, origin, emissions and document data current.
Who can see the data?
Different people see different parts of the record. A consumer can see care instructions; an inspector can see compliance data according to their access.
Do we need complete supplier data to start?
No. Start with the data you have. Baseline estimates can fill gaps, which remain visible until primary supplier data replaces them.
